The WW2 Registry is
seeking names. The American Battle Monuments Commission Word War 2
Memorial Web Site at www.wwiimemorials.com
is continuing to enroll names of veterans. There is no charge to place a
name in the Registry. A
photo also can be included with brief narratives of wartime service. The
database contains 2 million records, including those
killed during the war. The database is also accessible at the actual WW2
Memorial site in Washington D.C. Call toll free 1-800-639-4992.
While at the reunion, just before the memorial service the night of the
banquet, Roy Stout received a phone call stating that
his son was having triple by-pass. It turned out it was 4
bypasses. He is doing great. Leo Griffin became ill and had to
leave
the
banquet. He had developed pneumonia and was placed in the hospital upon
returning home to Richmond, VA. At last
report Leo is doing well.
We had a great time visiting the Zoo, CNN News, the Aquarium and
Stone Mountain. Every one seemed to enjoy themselves.
We
have a great time jus seeing each other again.
For those of you who were at the banquet, a monitory gift was taken up for our
daughter and her husband's mission trip
to
the Dakotas' to help buy underwear fore the Indian children. Judy and
Bob and the Roanoke Valley Baptist Association
said
thank you.
Next year we will be in Kansas City with Les Beigle serving as
host. There will be more news about next year in a later letter.
A blond was cutting grass and did not know her cat was hiding in the grass.
Accidentally she cut off his tail. She
immediately rushed to Wal-Mart,
why take the cat to Wal-Mart? Well are you
ready for this. Wal-Mart is the
worlds largest retailer.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to
ever let you down probably will. You will have
your heart broken probably
more than once and it's harder every time.
You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best
friend. You'll blame a new love for things an
old one did. You'll cry because
time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So
take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like
you've never been hurt
because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a
minute of happiness you'll
never get back! Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that
it will
never begin.
