June
28 through
July 3, 2008
ATLANTA, GA
Conveniently located at
the airport!
Plan on the following events:

Ever wondered what the inside of a news studio looks like? Take
the Inside CNN Studio Tour in Atlanta and view for yourself. Reunion guests will
take a 50-minute CNN studio tour featuring the Control Room Theater,
Special Effects studio and Interactive News Desk section.

Welcome
to Georgia Aquarium - June and July is the perfect time to experience the
world’s largest aquarium and one of the feature Atlanta attractions! With
eight million gallons of fresh and marine water and more aquatic life than found
in any other aquarium, you are sure to see things you have never seen before!
This is one of the top Atlanta attractions!

There's
always something fun to do during your visit to the Zoo! Animal keeper
talks, training demonstrations, fun shows, animal encounters and
more! Don’t miss It’s a Jungle Out There,
an interactive wildlife show introducing you to the jungle in your own backyard.
Learn how to attract and care for the animals that share our neighborhoods with
the help of spectacular bird flights and encounters with the Zoo’s most
popular avian stars. Tour includes a BBQ lunch!
Located
on 3,200 acres of natural beauty, Stone Mountain Park features a wide variety of
fun family activities and things to do in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Amazing
adventures await as you discover Stone Mountain activities are suitable for all
ages: Take a skyride
to the top of Stone Mountain and get an up-close look at the Stone
Mountain Carving; take a scenic
train ride around the mountain; or enjoy a paddlewheel
riverboat cruise on Stone Mountain Lake.
The
World of Coca Cola Museum is one of the most popular attractions in the city.
Coca Cola was actually invented and first sold in a pharmacy in downtown
Atlanta, and we will take a tour through the Coca Cola Museum to learn
everything a person could hope to know about the history of Coca Cola.
We have just
returned from Atlanta finalizing plans for the reunion. The dates are June
28th through the 3rd of July. I would suggest if you are flying to make
your reservations now as the return date is close to the 4th of July, a major
holiday. (You can click on the picture of the hotel to link to the reservations
page). If you are flying in, the hotel has shuttle service free of charge to and
from the airport. The complete schedule of events will be in the March
newsletter. This will outline all the events with a total cost including
the banquet on Wednesday the 3rd of July. In the meantime, take a tour by
clicking on any of the events pictures! This is going to be an exciting
reunion!
The hotel will have plenty of parking space that will be free of charge.
I would advise if you are planning on attending the events in downtown Atlanta,
that you leave your car and take the tour bus for all the events, as parking in
downtown Atlanta is $10.00 per hour.
We would like to thank all of you who have paid your 2008 dues. The
treasury is now much healthier. It can be healthier if the balance of you
would submit your dues. I don't like to put a notice of this type in the
letter but am charged by the reunion group to do so.
Thanks, Ed Quinn, Jim Sector, Julius
Shoulars.
